Hi, I'm Tihomir Tomašević
Software architect, engineering leader, and founder of T2 Software
I've spent 17+ years building enterprise-scale software — across government, telecom, banking and SaaS — as an engineer, an architect, and a manager of a 25-person department. For the last four years I've been at SOCi, where I lead development of an internal agentic AI platform.
T2 Software is the consultancy I founded to take on work in the gap I keep seeing: organisations with solid, conventional backends who want to add AI capability and discover that the interesting problems are all at the seams.
How I think about this work
Every project starts with the business problem, not the technology. That sounds like a platitude until you've watched a team spend two quarters building an agent framework for something a scheduled job would have solved.
My bias is toward systems that can be reasoned about. LLMs introduce genuine non-determinism into software, and the engineering response is not to hope for the best — it's to bound the uncertainty, instrument everything, and make failures legible. That instinct comes from years in environments where a bad deploy meant a national service went down.
A good AI system isn't just smart. It's predictable, observable, and explainable.
I also think the current moment rewards people who've seen a hype cycle before. I'm genuinely enthusiastic about what LLMs make possible — and equally comfortable telling a client that the thing they asked for isn't the thing they need.
